Happy New Year 2014--My Year in Review

Today is January 1, 2014.  The start of a new year, a new adventure, a clean slate.  As I reflect back on 2013 I can't say it was easy, but it was definitely a year of growth for me and a year of amazing changes in my kids.  I have no idea what this coming year will hold, but I feel like there is still lots of change coming.

Before I dive into 2014 feet first first I decided to take a look at my top 10 most popular posts of 2013. Some made me laugh, some made me cry.  Some are issues I'm still dealing with.  I am so grateful to all of you that show up and read my crazy rambling, send me comments and notes of encouragement, and join me on my journey.  Stick around for 2014.  My kids are bound to do something that will make you laugh!

I started the year asking the question "Is Six Enough?".  I'm still not sure I know the answer to that question.

I lamented that having six kids is sometimes way harder than I expected. And also way more amazing.

I found a baby girl in China that I really fed lead to, but ultimately had to pull myself away from the idea of another adoption for the time being.

I wrote about my longtime few and distaste for swimsuit shopping.  A lot of you seemed to identify with this post.

I shared our plans to travel with our kids to Florida.

Most post on the whether I was too old to get pregnant drew lots of responses.

The silly nicknames my kids all have brought lots of fun comments from you about your own nicknames.

Being stared at is pretty typical, but I also shared some of the less than clever remarks that strangers will often make about my family.

Brian and I got to attend the Karen Purvis workshop "Empowered to Connect". It really shook us both up and gave us some new perspectives on our children.

Louise, always the source of great blogging material, surprised us one nap time with some abstract art.

Happy New Year!  May all your resolutions stick for more than one week and may you live a year filled with blessings!
